Hygienic, flexible, reliable: complete equipment for the operating room from SIMEON

From November 15th to 18th, 2021, the international medical technology industry will meet again at MEDICA. In Düsseldorf, SIMEON Medical from Tuttlingen will present its latest solutions for hospitals with a focus on operating and examination rooms. SIMEON is presenting the recently introduced Sim.MOVE 800 mobile operating table in the conference room of the Hotel Tulip Inn Düsseldorf Arena, directly at the north entrance of the trade fair grounds. The latest developments in mobile lights, the innovative antibacterial coating Anti.BAC® for all SIMEON products, the Sim.VID mobile video solution and the product highlights of the Sim.CARRY ceiling supply unit will also be presented.

SIMEON’s comprehensive portfolio makes it a one-stop-shop provider for the operating room. From the Sim.CARRY ceiling supply unit to various lights and video systems, such as the Sim.VID mobile video solution, to the new Sim.MOVE 800 operating table, OR planners can design the entire operating room from a single source.

The Sim.CARRY ceiling supply unit boasts an impressive modular design. The flexible Sim.CARRY models have adapters for the popular anesthesia devices and meet all convention electrical, data, video and gas standards. They are also extremely user-friendly, thanks to their intuitive operation via a control panel on the console and tray. This allows users to position and operate the ceiling supply unit in just a few simple steps – including activating the brakes and operating the motorized arm. Another impressive feature they offer is the optional use of state-of-the-art technologies, such as an electromagnetic brake, as well as a hygienically optimized design for easy cleaning, ensuring superlative hygiene in the operating room.

The Sim.MOVE 800 was developed as an operating table that can be easily adapted to all conditions, making it suitable for all common applications. It is a practice-oriented and reliable operating table that simplifies everyday work in the operating room and increases safety and comfort for patients at the same time. The table can carry extreme loads of up to 454 kg. The innovative Automatic Floorlock System (AFS, optional) ensures maximum stability of the table during surgery, and offers an optional uneven floor compensation. The optional “2-DRIVE” traction drive helps move the table smoothly, even under maximum load. This allows patients to be safely moved into the operating room through the patient airlock with a minimum of effort.

Further SIMEON innovations will be presented in addition to these product highlights. Among other things, the antibacterial coating Anti.BAC® will be available for all powder-coated SIMEON components in the future. Having proven itself in the HighLine series of operating lights, Anti.BAC® has now been extended to the entire powder-coated SIMEON portfolio. Anti.BAC® has the highest antimicrobial effect (log 5.9 for Escherichia Coli and log 4.29 for staphylococcus aureus). This reduces germs by 99.99 percent. The coating is certified according to ISO 22196 (JIS Z 2801) and does not use nano-silver or free silver ions that pose physiologically hazards. This makes SIMEON the first manufacturer to completely eliminate the use of silver ions in its coatings. The coating prevents germs from settling on light bodies, including cardanic, suspension arm systems, ceiling tubes and mobile stands – a valuable contribution to hygiene in the operating room.

The mobile SIMEON portfolio is also being showcased. It offers maximum wireless flexibility thanks to its unique battery backup system, which is available as an option. The handy batteries can be used for mobile surgical and examination lights as well as for the Sim.VID mobile video solution, and are easy to replace and charge. This means that the battery-operated, mobile SIMEON solutions are completely wireless and can even be used 24/7 without interruption in double battery stands.

If you would like to see SIMEON’s new products in person, you are cordially invited to visit SIMEON in the showroom in Düsseldorf’s Tulip Inn Arena. Due to corona measures, SIMEON requests you to register by November 2 at marketing@simeonmedical.com.
